Loyola Garba TonightOctober 10th, 2008The Loyola University Garba will be held tonight. Anyone who wants to go is welcome to join us. We will be meeting in the Ratner lobby at 6:15pm. From there, we will go as a group to and from the garba using public transportation. Dinner will not be served at the garba, so please eat before meeting at the Ratner. Please wear Indian clothes if possible. This event should last until about midnight. See you there! Loyola GarbaSeptember 22nd, 2008UChi Raas Team will be taking a trip to the Loyola Navratri Garba on Friday, October 10th 2008. The garba runs from 6pm to 11:30pm. Tickets for the garba cost $5. More information at Tryouts. Tryouts!September 22nd, 2008Tryouts for the 2008-2009 raas team will be on Wednesday, October 8th from 8pm to 10pm in the Ida Noyes Dance Room. These tryouts are mandatory for anyone interested in joining the raas team. If you cannot make it, please email us at tryouts@chicagoraas.com. We will be teaching basic raas steps as well as choreography for our performance at the UChi Diwali Garba. We will teach you everything you need to know! If you are interested in joining the competitve team and going to intercollegiate raas competitions, let us know at the Wednesday tryouts, and we will email you Wednesday night letting you know if you should audition at the Thursday callbacks. Thursay Callbacks will be on October 9th, 9pm-11pm at Ida Noyes Dance Room. We look forward to seeing you at tryouts!
