Chicago Raas will be performing at the 2011 SASA Show on Saturday, April 2nd in Mandel Hall. This is a great opportunity to watch us perform live on campus!

Hello everyone!

We are excited to start the 2010-2011 raas season! We have a great year ahead of us! To start it off, here is the information about our info session and tryouts:

INFO SESSION
Thursday, September 30th, 2010
9:00 pm
OMSA 1st floor community lounge (5710 S. Woodlawn Ave.)

*Free Samosas! We will be discussing our team, practice schedule, competitions, and local performances.

TRYOUTS
Friday, October 1st, 2010
7:00 pm
Ida Noyes Dance Room (basement of Ida Noyes Hall, 1212 E. 59th St.)

*Wear loose clothing and bring a water bottle. We will be teaching a short, easy routine of about 1 minute for you to perform at the end of the session.

We are excited to see you soon!

We will be hosting tryouts the first or second weekend of fall quarter! We will be teaching basic steps and talking a little about what exactly raas is and what we do. (We know you’ve never heard of raas before, but you should still come.) Any undergraduate or graduate UofC student is welcome to tryout. Both guys and girls are needed on the team, as we need an equal number of guys and girls to compete.

We will be having tryouts for the 2010-2011 competitive team on Sunday, May 9th, 2010 at 5pm in the Ida Noyes Dance Room. Anyone interested in dance is welcome to join us. Absolutely no experience is needed!
